Traditional Chinese Medicine
Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is a branch of traditional medicine that is said to be based on more than 3,500 years of Chinese medical practice that includes various forms of herbal medicine, acupuncture, cupping therapy, gua sha, massage (tui na), bonesetter (die-da), exercise (qigong), and dietary therapy.
One of the basic tenets of TCM is that the body's vital energy (ch'i or qi) is circulating through channels, called meridians, that have branches connected to bodily organs and functions." TCM describes health as the harmonious interaction of these entities and the outside world, and disease as a disharmony in interaction.
At Care 4 Health we offer treatments harnessing acupuncture, moxibustion, and cupping to alleviate discomfort in the body and restore physical peace and harmony.
We have recently introduced Fu Zhen Therapy which is a new technique of Fascial Acupuncture to treat muscle and / or tendon problems.
Unlike traditional acupuncture techniques, the needle for the FuZhen (Fascial Acupuncture) technique only penetrates the subcutaneous layer of the skin and the stimulation is performed on this layer. This technique is characteris+ed by being easy and practical to handle and immediately effective. To some extent, it is possibly one of the most direct and effective acupuncture techniques existing .
The main organ of the body is the skin, under which we find liquid and / or fat. Then there is the fascia, a system of connective tissue that envelops all the organs of our body, from muscles to tendons or cells. A network that covers and connects all parts of our body. With FU ZHEN we can unlock the fascia and it is in turn the muscle, tendon or area of pain affected.
We have found this technique to be effective at relieving pain and recovering mobility from the very first session.
This treatment is not applied to joints or feet and / or hands. Fu Zhen is especially recommended in pathologies such as Epicondylitis, Epitrocleitis, and Frozen Shoulder ...
